U.S. Government Burns Food while Children Starve

U.S. and Israel are using starvation as a weapon

of ethnic cleansing and genocide.

While everyone is talking about what Trump and Jeffrey Epstein did or did not do, children are starving. Food is being taken out of the mouths of children and cash is being put into the pockets of billionaires.

In the U.S., over 14 million children go to bed hungry.¹ In response, the government is cutting food stamps. Slashing the Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) will take food from 2 million children of working and poor people.²

In the world, over 20 million children face starvation. In response, the government dismantled the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID).³ AID was the government’s main agency for distributing food abroad. Worldwide, over half of all child deaths are linked to hunger-related causes. It is estimated that in the last two months, over 300,000 people died as result of the suspension of humanitarian aid, 200,000 of them children, many of whom died from malnutrition, diarrhea and pneumonia.

In the face of world-wide hunger, the U.S. burned 500 metric tons of emergency food aid.⁴

The U.S./Israeli response to starvation in Gaza, the GAZA Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The GHF was not set up to feed people. It was set up to concentrate the Palestinian population in selected areas of Gaza for easier control and attack. More than 1,000 people have been shot dead as they went to get food from GHF centers.

The starvation and murder of children is being carried out by immoral and evil governments, who operate in the service of the capitalist class. The one percent that enriches itself by exploiting the 99 percent who are forced to work for a living, or face massive debt, homelessness or are not allowed to work at all. The world produces enough food for everyone. The problem is that food is distributed for profit not for need. This allows the U.S. and Israel to use starvation as a weapon of genocide.

Our children and the world’s children are in danger. We must act before it is too late. We cannot rely on the Democrats to fight for our children. They work for the capitalist class, just like the Republicans. No, we must do it ourselves.

The working class must unite as a class and defend the interests of every one of us.
