For the Capitalist Class, AI presents a new profit frontier to make things and deliver services without paying wages. Working Class political power is a platform for creating a cooperative society where the benefits of technology are shared by all.
It’s not AI we need to worry the most about. It’s the people and corporations working to profit from and gain power by deploying it. Regulating corporations, or even abolishing them, is a question of political power.
The RNT Collective has received a number of comments, criticisms and questions generated by our posts. One issue that has been repeatedly raised is, “OK, I agree that we need a revolution. So, how do we do it?”
AI is not only changing how we work, how we relate to each other. It is offering humankind the chance to replace the “old” world – Capitalism – with a “new” – Share-and-Share-Alike Socialism.
AI in the hands of the Capitalist Class is creating revolution by destroying jobs, the economy, and the way of life under Capitalism. Pontiff stated that corporations use AI in “the pursuit of greater profits that cannot justify choices that systematically sacrifice jobs.
