How do We make a REVOLUTION ?

The RNT Collective has received a number of comments, criticisms, and questions generated by our posts. One issue that has been repeatedly raised is, “OK, I agree that we need a revolution. So, how do we do it?”

Unfortunately, we do not have the answer to this question.

There are no guidebooks, no texts, no political programs that show us how to take political power and establish Share-and-Share-Alike-Socialism.

The great revolutionary leaders like Lenin and Mao lived during the era of expanding Capitalism, each at different stages of this process. When they lived, wrote, organized, and led revolutions, there was no instant communication or multiple ways to exchange information. During their lives, technological advances increased the productivity of human laborers. Today, AI is replacing human labor.

We live in a new world and must find our own path. However, we can learn from the past. We can use the experience, knowledge, and insight of all of the revolutionaries who came before us to show us “HOW TO DO IT?”

As a contribution to this effort, the RNT collective is initiating a series of posts, “The Future is Up to US,” presenting contributions and guidance from revolutionary leaders. We urge our readers to contribute to this series and to help initiate a dialog that will lead us to the answer.

Nelson Peery was born in Missouri 103 years ago on June 22. He came of age during the Great Depression, volunteered to fight in World War II, and joined the revolutionary movement after the war. Nelson dedicated his life to freeing humanity from the chains of oppression.

In 2012, Nelson wrote an essay exposing the connection between the ongoing technological revolution in digitally controlled social production and the broad sweep of human history. The essay was written at the beginning of the modern AI revolution and 10 years before ChatGPT made AI accessible to everyone. In this work, Nelson showed that while the new technology creates wealth for the owners, it brings misery for the working class through the elimination of employment. This is what is happening today.

Nelson showed us that this process will ultimately force the working class to seize political power in order to survive. There is no other way to survive except by distributing the new abundance from technology through a cooperative social system.1

Through this revolutionary act of seizing political power and establishing universal cooperation, the working class will reconnect humanity to its formative experience using cooperative means to survive. Homo Sapiens are the sole surviving human species because we cooperatively foraged and hunted for food, and cooperatively cared for children and mothers. This cooperation was based upon scarcity. Today, the journey of human history is coming back to a cooperative society, which is based on abundance, not scarcity. 1

In order to complete this journey and establish a cooperative society, Nelson predicted that the critical step for the working class would be creating an organization of revolutionaries that “extracts all the lessons of history and understands the process we are going through.”1 To win, the working class must have leaders who understand the fundamental journey from cooperation to cooperation. Nelson called this journey from Communism to Communism, another name for cooperative society.

In the next RNT, we will explain the mechanism that propelled humanity across history.
