Shutdown used to Smash the Government

Fascism does not take over a government; it destroys it.¹

In the U.S., fascists aim to destroy what’s left of representative democracy in order to facilitate the robbery and oppression of the American people.

The shutdown is about destroying the part of our government that serves the 99% of the people, not the billionaire 1%. MAGA fascists are eliminating government programs that help people and strengthening the ones that serve corporations.

The targets are the people who work for us.

Their jobs are to provide us with healthcare, housing, and education; to warn us about natural disasters and then come to help; to protect us from disease and environmental destruction; to fight with us in our battles against poverty and for housing, equal rights, immigrant rights, and the right to live our lives as we choose.

Government workers serve the 99% and their very existence hinders the ability of the 1% to steal every possible dollar they can.

The fascists call this the “Administrative State”, and their goal is to destroy it.

This was all laid out in the fascist playbook, Project 2025.². Trump and the Republican Party are quickly achieving the goals outlined in Project 2025. First with Elon Musk and DOGE and now with the shutdown.

The Democrats’ Leadership’s response is to make a stand against the loss of healthcare subsidies, while making it clear that they will deny healthcare to undocumented workers.

The Democrats are not fighting to:

stop the funding of I.C.E. terror
stop supplying Israel with the bombs and bullets used in the Gaza genocide
to prevent the closing of the Department of Education and the gutting of the EPA, CDC, NOAA, and every other agency that serve the American people.

The Democrats have done nothing to stop the fascists.

Like the Republicans, the Democrats work for the 1% of the population, the capitalist class, who own the means of production, the electronic media, factories, banks, mines, etc., and who use our labor to make money.

This is a war between those of us who supply the collective labor that produces wealth versus the private owners who seize that wealth. We are the working class, the 99% who must sell our ability to work to live.

We are the only ones who can stop fascism.

The 99% must have its own political party that can lead a revolution and build a world based on cooperation, where everyone has what they need and looks out for each other. If we join together to fight for the common good, we have a beautiful world to win.

We can do this, we must do this!
