GenZ Leads the Fight against Fascism
Since the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 12, the fascist forces in the US have gone into overdrive. Passing from national patriotic spectacles of Kirk as a martyr, they have begun to threaten NGOs, Trump’s alleged “enemies”, using naked federal power to threaten corporate media and force the firing of anti-Trump comedians, invaded Chicago with military-style operations, and federalized California National Guard troops to send them to Portland.
In addition, they have openly threatened the military general staff and shut down the government, threatening to fire 750,000 federal workers to punish us all.
As we are seeing in Chicago, an escalating popular movement to paralyze ICE is beginning to sweep the country. In response to Trump’s imposition of troops on cities, beginning in Los Angeles, then in Washington, DC, people have resorted to social media to coordinate unprecedented anti-government organizing.
At the same time, across the globe, we are seeing escalating popular rebellions in many different forms. Popular social media is key to these movements. As in every era, rising anti-government “guerrilla” movements are seizing the weapons of the class enemy to use them against its power.
As always, the youth are showing the way!
The Nepal GenZ uprising began on September 8.
Millions of Italians went on a general strike for Gaza on Monday, September 22.

On Sunday, October 4, tens of thousands of Moroccan GenZ youth took to the streets to proclaim a youth+ rebellion. By Monday, October 5, the rebellion had spread to both Madagascar and Kenya. Its consciousness is also expanding to target the State and the ruling classes.
This moment requires us to challenge our thinking. People are rejecting collaboration and conciliation with fascism and billionaire elites.
“Our country and the world stand at a crossroads. Humanity has the potential for economic security and abundance. A community of the people, by the people, and for the people, where children can grow in peace, is possible as never before. Or–if we do nothing—we face increasingly unlivable conditions caused by private ownership of the wealth that human labor has created.”
