Gaza Peace Plan

No Voice. In 1947, the Palestinian people rejected UN resolution 181 that called for the partition of Palestine into Arab and Jewish states. They were ignored. Israel was founded in 1948, which was immediately followed by the Nakba, the violent expulsion of over 700,000 Palestinians and the formation of the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank.

Still No Voice. There were no Palestinians involved or consulted in making the so-called “Gaza Peace Plan”. It is really just an Israeli plan that is rebranded with the Trump name.

No Justice. There were over 20 countries at the October 9 signing including France, Germany and the UK. These countries enabled the slaughter of the Palestinian people and the destruction of Gaza. Not a word was said about this.

The leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain were there. Countries that had publicly condemned the Israeli genocide, while quietly cooperating with the U.S. and Israeli military. No Peace. There are no real specifics or definite deadlines involved. Only that Gaza fighters will return Israeli hostages in 72 hours. In exchange, Israeli claims it will return some 2000 Palestinian prisoners, yet it still imprisons over 11,000 Palestinians, mostly from the West Bank. And then the kicker, 200 US troops will patrol Gaza. What will happen if some of them are attacked?

The plan is full of caveats that allow Israel to break the agreement. For example, Israel promises “not return to areas that have been withdrawn from, as long as Hamas fully implements the agreement.” Who decides if Hamas has “fully implemented” the agreement? Israel. Israel demands the “deradicalized” Gazan population, but how determines how this will be accomplished?

Six days after the signing of the “Gaza Peace Plan”, Israel is preparing to attack Gaza again, and the U.S. is threating to join in!

Meanwhile, the fascist Trump regime continues to bring Gaza home to the US as he implements Project 2025. The ruling class is re-defining government as the naked rule of political violence. Trump is illegally invading the cities to create chaos and the spectacles that fascist love to use to hide their real motives. We are told to accept unidentified masked agents who brutalize our neighborhoods and kidnap people off the street! This is what the rule of billionaires means!

Trump gloated that he had a chance to fire at least 4200 more federal workers with the fake “government shutdown”. MAGA cuts will end health care for some 22 million people. Air traffic controllers will not be paid, yet are forced to work. But ICE is paid. So are the members of Congress, who are refusing to even meet to avert the crisis.

How can we address this extra-legal systematic power grab? Not with judges and legality; not with the politics of conciliation, collaboration and compromise.

Workers in Italy know fully well what fascism is and how to defeat it. In late September, millions of people took to the streets in a general strike for Gaza! They disrupted government and commerce from below to apply social force.

Here at home, from Los Angeles to Washington DC to Chicago and Portland, thousands of people are directly confronting ICE and collaborating online to block its ability to function.

Our country and the world are in the battle that will transform our lives! We have never been here before. We cannot go back. This process will not end until we abolish the billionaires who intend to make big profits off the destruction that they are creating!
