Mass Shooting at Brown University

Slaughtering Humans is more Profitable than Slaughtering Cattle !

Mass Shooting at Brown University

Enough is Enough

It is time for the Gun industry to go!

The mass shooting at Brown University classroom was the 393rd mass shooting of 2025.1 More than one mass shooting a day and over 14,000 gun-related deaths.1 Guns are the leading cause of death for American children.2

For the politicians, mass shootings are business as usual. Sadness, shock, hand wringing, calls for prayers, but no real programs, no real progress. This is how Democratic Party leader Senator Chuck Schumer responded, “These sickening events have become far too normal in our world. We must do more to stop gun violence, including congressional action on gun safety reforms.”3

We have heard this before! Democrats and Republicans propose legislation that will never pass. Why, because they are bought and sold by the arms industry.

Selling death is big business and getting bigger. World-wide corporate sales of arms and military services was a record breaking $679 billion in2024.4 War is good for profits as sales were boosted by the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, global and regional geopolitical tensions, and ever-higher military expenditures. It turns out that slaughtering human beings is more profitable than slaughtering cattle as the world-wide sales of beef are estimated at $460 billion.5

The income of U.S. arms companies such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics was $334 billion.4 Even more is on the way as the U.S. government just passed a $900 billion defense budget. Taking more money out of our pockets and giving it to these merchants of death.6

The only way to stop gun violence is to take the profits out of guns. We can do this!

We are the working class, the 99% who must sell our capacity to work in order to live. We are at war with the 1% of the population, the capitalist class – the people who own the arms industry, AI, the media, banks, etc. The fight is between those of us who supply the collective labor that produces wealth and the private owners who steal that wealth.

We know that we cannot rely on the Democrats or the Republicans to end gun violence. We have to rely on ourselves. The 99% must have their own political party that can lead a revolution and build a world based on cooperation, where everyone has what they need and looks out for each other. If we join together to fight for the common good, we have a beautiful world to win.

Our country and the world stand at a crossroads. Humanity has the potential for economic security and abundance. A community of the people, by the people, and for the people, where children can grow in peace, is possible as never before. Or–if we do nothing—we face increasingly unlivable conditions caused by private ownership of the wealth that human labor has created.”7
