Stop the ICE Attacks!

Build a Political Party for the 99%

In a span of two days, ICE thugs shot three people. They killed Renee Good in Minneapolis on January 7 and seriously wounded Luis Nino-Moncada and Yorlenys Zambrano-Contreras in Portland, Oregon, on January 8. To justify these crimes, the Trump administration called Renee Good a “domestic terrorist”¹ and accused the others of being gang members.² Then on January 14, they shot another person in Minneapolis and blamed the Mayor and the Governor for causing an “insurrection”!³

The talking heads and politicians tell us that the ICE thugs we “just doing their job.” So, what is their job? ICE is not a “law enforcement” agency; it is a group of thugs hired to attack the working class, the 99%, who must sell our capacity to work in order to live. They work for the 1% of the population, the capitalist class – the people who own AI, the media, factories, banks, etc.

There is a war going on in our country and throughout the world, a fight between those of us who supply the collective labor that produces wealth and the private owners who steal that wealth.

ICE thugs are soldiers for the 1%, and last year, the Democrats and Republicans in Congress gave ICE $270 billion. THIS CAN BE REVERSED! In the next two weeks, Congress has to come up with a budget, and some Democrats are pushing to DEFUND ICE!⁴ But Democratic Party leaders Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries refuse to demand any cuts at all to the ICE budget!⁴ Why, because they work for the same 1% that the Republicans work for and are choosing to continue funding the reign of terror on the 99%.

We cannot depend upon the Democrats. We are the only ones who can stop ICE violence. The 99% must have its own political party that can lead a revolution and build a world based on cooperation, where everyone has what they need and looks out for each other. If we join together to fight for the common good, we have a beautiful world to win.

We can begin to build this party by organizing support for the January 23rd “economic blackout” called by union, community, and religious leaders of Minnesota.⁵ On this “Day of Truth and Freedom” leaders are asking Minnesotans to stay home from work and school and not to buy anything.

We cannot go back to the old system; we must go forward.

We can do this, we must do this!
