TWO FRONTS – SAME FIGHT

BOMBS IN THE MIDDLE EAST, ICE IN THE US

While the media and talking heads are watching the U.S.-Israeli bombing of Iran, the attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West bank continue and spread to Lebanon. Americans are horrified by the unjust and unjustified war on Iran that has already killed 1,300 civilians including 400 women and children.

In America, ICE agents continue their campaign of brutality and kidnapping. People are fed up and organizing for peace and justice in the Middle East and against ICE terror. These separate streams of resistance are growing community by community and slowly merging into a national force.

The people of Minnesota have shown us what is next – ICE Out Day.

On Friday, January 23, over 50 thousand Minnesotans stopped work and went into the streets to fight ICE terror. It was “time to suspend the normal order of business.” ²

We cannot win this fight one place at a time. The American people are not alone in this struggle.

On October 3, 2025, the Confederazione Generale Italiana di Lavoratori (CGIL) participated in a national strike for Palestine. The action involved over two million workers and paralyzed transport and logistics throughout Italy. British workers have also engaged in dramatic actions, pressuring both their government and corporate targets, and have had to withstand attacks on their civil liberties in the process.

On March 18th, the National Labor Network for Ceasefire and In These Times magazine will host an international webinar featuring trade unionists from Italy and Britain engaged in direct action for justice for Palestinians.
