THE EARTH IS BURNING

“ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT WILDFIRES”

The World is going up in flames. When you look out your window and see the rapidly approaching flames or walk out your door and smell the smoke from forests burning hundreds of miles away, you know we are in trouble.

In the U.S., there have been over 46,000 wildfires in 21 states, forcing over 50,000 people to run for their lives.^2,3 More than 6 million acres have been destroyed⁴, an area 33 times larger than New York City. We are not alone; Canada and the rest of the World is Burning.

Incredibly brave people are risking their lives fighting these fires one by one. Putting them out in one place only to have another explode in flames. We cannot escape wildfires; we cannot ignore them – WE HAVE TO PREVENT THEM!

We know WHY the world is on fire – CLIMATE CHANGE.

Capitalists earn profit from every ton of fossil fuel burned, from all the petrochemicals polluting our land, air, and water, and from mining and corporate agriculture.^5,6

We know HOW TO END CLIMATE CHANGE

But it is not the SINGULAR YOU. Individual people “crushing out their cigarettes” or “dousing their campfires”⁵ will not solve climate change. Yes, this helps. But the SINGULAR YOU will not end industrial pollution, mega-farm pollution, or the burning of the Amazon for profit.

It is the PLURAL YOU – Saving our planet is a CLASS QUESTION.

We are the working class, the majority who must work to survive, who fight wars to enrich the few, and who bear the brunt of an overheated, polluted, and burning planet. We have seen that we have power when we act together in our own interests. We stopped construction of data centers and ICE mega-prisons and we can stop the destruction of the earth.

AI has changed the world, and Project 2025 has changed the US government – there are no more reforms left in the capitalist system. The only way to save our planet is by ending capitalism.

We can get rid of capitalism by abolishing capitalist private property and making it our public property. We need to abolish the single thing that gives capitalists their political power – the false claim that they are entitled to own the tools and technologies and Nature itself.

The working class must have its own voice to build a world where wealth is publicly controlled and divided equally among the peoples of the world, where war, genocide, and ecocide are relics of the past. We are the majority, and we can choose our future.

We can no longer fight back – We must FIGHT FORWARD
