Fight Forward – “There’s a New World Coming”

American working men and women had little to celebrate on Labor Day 2026. Sixty-three percent of us live paycheck to paycheck as gas, housing, food, healthcare, and other living costs keep going up.¹ Our country is on fire, our schools and hospitals are falling apart, and I.C.E. agents are terrorizing our communities. The U.S. is at war with the working people of Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran, even though the overwhelming majority of the American people say NO; the wars continue.

Are the Midterm elections the answer to our problems?

After the last Labor Day outings and family barbeques, there were 57 days until the Midterm elections. The Democrats, media, and talking heads are trying to tell us that being against Trump and his policies is enough. The Democratic Party’s message is “Cast your ballots for us and all will be well.”

Do not be fooled; we are not fighting individuals; we are fighting an economic system based upon private property and the class that benefits from that system.

If the Democrats win the midterm elections, nothing will change. They have NO plan to get the housing, food, and healthcare we need to survive. NO plan to save the planet or to rebuild our schools. NO plan to end I.C.E. and police terror and provide justice for all. NO plan to end the war on the working people of Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran. And most of Trump’s fascist edicts will remain in place.

What is the role of the Democratic Party?

It is clear that both the Republican and Democratic Parties have been bought by billionaire capitalists and do their bidding. Historically, the working class has been tied to the capitalist class through the Democratic party. The ideas that the Democratic Party preaches are the glue that ties the workers to the capitalists politically. When they tell us that – “justice must come step by step”; “compromise and conciliation is the way of the world”; “the system can be reformed by Congress”; “capitalists are our friends and our natural leaders”; “money talks!”

It is all Bull Shit.

We are living in revolutionary times that demand a new approach – a new political party.

AI has changed the world. Trump and Project 2025 have changed America. As we are increasingly thrown out of work and out of the capitalist economy, the subjective political ties are beginning to fray and break. The strategy of progressives everywhere should be to break the connections between the Democratic Party and the working class. This is a key first step towards the development of working-class unity and political independence. A process can be accelerated with the development of a third party – a new environment and school for political independence from capitalist rule.

We cannot go back to an old system that no longer exists. We cannot reform the government. We must fight forward. In the midterm elections: “Cast your ballot for the working class.”
