Did Trump get a better offer for Ukraine’s rare earth elements?

“This is going to be great television.” This is how Trump summed up his February 28^th meeting with Zelenskyy. During the meeting in the US White House, Trump and his henchman JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy for being “disrespectful” and for not being grateful for all that Trump is doing to end the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian writer Andrey Kurkov had a different take on the meeting. “A cold reality hit us in Washington. Zelenskyy was being forced to buy hope of survival by people who have no care for our freedom.”¹

The meeting was not about peace, it was about controlling Ukraine’s rare earth elements. As Kurkov observed, “During the past two weeks, we have watched as the issue of ending the Russian-Ukrainian war has transformed into the issue of rare earth metal mining in our country. As it turned out, in Saudi Arabia the participants in the Russian-US negotiations also discussed the extraction of rare earth metals, only they focused on resources in Russian territories and in the occupied territories of Ukraine. These rare earth metals have pushed the topic of the war and military aid to Ukraine out of the media space. That space is filled with dollars now.”¹

Why do Trump, Musk and the Tech Billionaires want Ukraine’s rare earth elements? Critical minerals and rare earth elements are fundamental to the world economy. They are a vital part of electronic devices including electric cars, microchips, cell phones, televisions, computers, batteries, as well as jet engines and satellites.²

What happened to the US-Ukraine deal on Ukraine’s rare earth elements? The US demanded full control, but there is a problem – Russian troops occupy over half of the land where these minerals are found. The solution is to either drive out the Russian forces or to make a deal with Putin.

Putin proposes Russia-US partnership on rare earth minerals. On February 24, Putin said he was ready to partner with the US in mining in Russia’s rare earth elements and critical minerals.³ In a televised interview, Putin said the deal would include access to Russia’s “new territories” – those it has seized and occupied in Ukraine since their invasion three years ago.

However, it does not matter if Trump, Musk and the Tech Billionaires take Putin’s deal or squeeze every dime out of the Ukraine, the end goal is to control Ukraine’s natural resources.

The new electronics-based, AI-run economy needs rare earth elements and critical minerals. If you control these minerals, you control the world.² Trump, Musk and the Tech Billionaires are willing to kill to control the world. Vampire-like, Trump, Musk and the Tech Billionaires are trying to suck the mineral wealth from a conflict zone that has taken nearly 1 million lives and cost U.S. taxpayers $118 billion.⁴

Near the end of the meeting, Trump warned Zelenskyy that he was gambling with World War III. Make no mistake, it is the other way around. Trump, JD Vance and the billionaires they work for have a clear message, “Our private property is going to eat up your personal and your public property and we are prepared to destroy the world to do it.”

We can stop them, by abolishing private property. It is the solution to the escalating crisis we face. Private property, out to make private profit for billionaires, is directly behind every single problem. Imagine how easily they can be solved if the private agenda was abolished. Everything for everyone!⁴
