AMERICAN GESTAPO
I.C.E. TERROR LEGALIZED
THE MAKING OF AN AMERICAN GESTAPO
ICE terror continues.
In the past two weeks, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) thugs murdered Lorenzo Salgado Araujo (Houston, Texas), Joan Sebastián Durán (Biddeford, Maine), and Juan Jairo Coronilla Durán, (St. Augustine, Florida).1,2 This brings the total to 43 I.C.E. shooting and 13 ICE-associated deaths during the past year.1
ICE is above the law.
The U.S. Government said out loud what we already knew – “ICE can kill, beat and arrest with impunity -they are above the law”. The government instructed the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to stop investigating ICE agents involved in beatings, shooting or murder.3 ICE thugs will not be punished by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) nor will the DHS allow local or state governments to investigate ICE-related murders or beatings. Indeed, when an ICE. agent shoots and kills someone, the FBI’s job is to determine whether the agents were assaulted before the gunfire.3 Thus, “cars are weaponized” and “agents fear for their lives”.
ICE as Secret Police.
ICE, as administered by the Department of Homeland Security, can provide access to all intelligence gathered by agencies iike CIA, FBI, NSA. and other government bodies.
The people of Houston and Biddeford are demanding to know the truth about ICE murders in their communities.
They are fighting for justice by demanding the facts about the ICE shootings. But it took 6 months for the U.S. government to provide any evidence related to the assassinations of Rene Nicole Good and Alex Pretti – as of today, no one has been charged with their murders.4
The U.S. government is not investigating the killers, it is investigating the victims.
Under the federal law, it is illegal to “assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidates or interfere” with a federal law enforcement officer.3 The Trump administration had filed charges against more than 550 people for assaulting federal officers.3
The U.S. Government is prosecuting us for demanding justice throughout our country.
In Texas, fifteen Anti-ICE protestors received sentences totaling 556 years for a demonstration outside the Prairieland Detention Center.5 In Chicago, the “Broadview Six”6, in Minneapolis, the “Minnesota 15”7, and in Spokane8.
After the verdicts in the Prairieland prosecution, Todd Blanche, the acting U.S. Attorney General wrote, “The sentences handed down today make clear that Antifa terrorists who attack law enforcement and federal facilities will face swift and uncompromising justice. Their violent extremism has no place in our country, and the Department of Justice will continue to aggressively investigate, disrupt, and prosecute those who threaten law enforcement officers or undermine the rule of law.”5
ICE is an American Gestapo. (Link to the RNT on “What is the Gestapo)
It is a National Police Force whose mission is to protect the government from organized political opposition and individual resistance.
ICE is not subject to legal or administrative oversight – it is above the law.
ICE can send people directly to concentration camps, called Detention Centers, and the courts can do little to stop them or to get kidnapped people out of the centers.
Fascism is growing in our country. Every day we see the destruction of Capitalist Democracy and the growth of fascism. ICE violence and terror directed at immigrant workers and the people who support and defend them is part of the plan to install a fascist regime in Washington, DC.
Like the Nazi Gestapo, ICE cannot be reined in or reformed – it must be destroyed.
We know that we can do this. We have learned an important lesson in the national battles against ICE – neighbors defend neighbors; we can only depend on ourselves!
We have the ability to change the world. We can do this, we must do this!
