French Student Protests Continue
NOTHING WILL STOP US!
Two days after massive demonstrations throughout France, high school students continued their fight for a better education.1,2 University students and more trade unions have joined the nationwide protests. The Interior Ministry said 71,500 people participated in the day’s demonstrations, of which 24,500 took part in the main Paris protest centered around the Bastille square. The Police continued their attack on the students, arresting more than 500 people, bringing the total arrested to over 7,000 since the demonstrations began a few weeks ago.
The French government has offered to talk to the students and to figure out something to address the problems. The students know that this is just talk.
They will not go away, and they will not stop fighting for their future.
