NEW WORLD – NEW TASKS
MAY DAY 2026 – END THE WAR ON IRAN
May Day was forged in class struggle between the working class, the 99%, who must sell our ability to work in order to live, and the capitalist class, the less than 1%, who own the means of production – AI, media, factories, banks, etc. May Day reflects the ongoing war between those of us who produce the world’s wealth and the private owners who steal that wealth.
May Day 2026 takes place in a NEW WORLD. A world transformed by AI and threatened by global war. A war that began with genocide in Gaza and then spread throughout the Middle East. The first AI war that may engulf the planet.
Politicians and talking heads tell us that Trump’s war on Iran is a “war of choice.” But it is a “war of necessity” for the capitalists. AI is creating a new world economic system, and the US billionaires are fighting to control it. They know that the new technology is creating the conditions for a new society based on meeting the needs of the 99% rather than enriching the 1%.
The War in Iran is not about oil; it is about who owns the oil. By waging war on Iran and attacking all of our hard-won rights, the capitalists are sending the working class a message: “This is our house, we will do what is necessary to keep it that way.” They do not care if their actions bring world war, economic depression, and climate disaster. The war on Iran is part of the 1%’s effort to bully the world into submission and is led by their chief stooge, Donald J. Trump.
The Middle East war is a class war between the 1% and the 99%. Only a united Working-Class can stop the Wars and create a just peace.
International Working-Class Unity is essential. It is needed to stop the wars and to bring about peace. If the U.S. Working-Class came together in support of Palestinian freedom in Gaza and the West Bank, the U.S./Israeli alliance would break, and a path to peace would open. The people of Minnesota have shown us just how powerful a united Working-Class is in the fight against fascist terror.
21st Century technology presents the immediate possibility for a world where everyone has what they need, including peace and justice. The capitalists think this is a pipe dream because humankind is like them – greedy, evil, competitive, and out for themselves. That given the chance, the Working-Class will turn on each other and fight among themselves, rather than for themselves.
But human beings are kind, compassionate, giving, and cooperative. The people of Minneapolis and Americans all over the country are united in defense of their immigrant brothers and sisters and their children. The people of Gaza have not been defeated, even in the face of an ongoing genocide.
2026 IS THE YEAR FOR THE WORKING-CLASS TO UNITE!
MAY DAY 2026 IS THE TIME TO CHANGE THE WORLD, TO FREE OURSELVES FROM THE CAPITALIST CLASS AND TO DECIDE OUR OWN DESTINY
NOW IS THE TIME TO CREATE A JUST, PEACEFUL, AND COOPERATIVE WORLD.
